The first volume in The Standard Reference Library, The Pentateuch, will take the reader from Eden to Canaan, from the creation of the universe to the creation of a nation. Drawing heavily from Genesis, the book will survey the life and faith of the patriarchs. Chapters from Exodus to Deuteronomy will detail the amazing rescue of God's people from Egyptian bondage, through the wilderness wandering, to the shore of the Jordan, as the nation of Israel prepares to cross and take the promised land.
